Lumburra Bimbi

Overview

Lumburra Bimbi is the cultural heritage body for the Western Kangoulu People. On Country Heritage acts as their advisor, engaged directly by them to support delivery, engagement with proponents, and growth beyond cultural heritage.

Our approach is Traditional Owner-led. Lumburra Bimbi leads all cultural heritage decisions, while we provide structure and advice to support consistent and scalable delivery.

Context

The Western Kangoulu established Lumburra Bimbi Pty Ltd to manage the operations of the Cultural Heritage Services that are provided in their Traditional Country. The Western Kangoulu People’s Traditional Country is the area surrounding Emerald.

WK people have a number of mining and other proponents operating on their Country and required a CH advisor to help with ongoing management and preservation of CH.
